The White River Valley Lady Wolverines dominated both ends of the field Tuesday night, earning a 4–0 victory over the North Knox Lady Warriors. Maddy “The Machine” Settles opened the scoring with a quick strike to set the tone. Midway through the first half, Settles delivered a corner kick into the box that Maylee Pierce knocked in for WRV’s second goal. Before halftime, Settles added another goal, assisted by Amira Gillum, sending the Wolverines into the break with a 3–0 lead. In the second half, Settles wasn’t finished. She capped the night with her fourth goal, this time driving home a corner kick to seal the win. Gillum finished with two assists, while the defense stayed strong behind the hard-nosed play of Kylan Lundy. Goalkeeper Jazzy Yingling notched her fourth shutout of the season. The victory improves WRV’s record to 5–2. The Lady Wolverines will return to action Friday on 8th Grade Night when they host Bloomfield.
