What a night on the pitch for the White River Valley Middle School Boys' Soccer team! The Wolverines put on a masterclass of teamwork and precision, securing a dominant 4-0 shutout victory over North Knox this evening. The team came into the match focused on improving their spacing and passing, and that strategy paid off in a big way! The scoring frenzy started just 8 minutes in when always dependable holding-midfielder Nolan Helms delivered a perfect pass to striker Ayden Fox, who deftly chipped the ball over the goalie’s head to open the scoring. The Wolverine pressure was relentless. Just seven minutes later, after a beautiful series of connected passes, Tobey Harroll found Miles Karr on the left wing, and Karr zipped a powerful shot into the far corner of the net! Before the half was over, WRV struck again. Harroll, the master playmaker tonight, set up another score with a slick 1-2 pass to Henry Linneweber, who settled the ball and fired it past the keeper to put the Wolverines up 3-0 at the break. While the offense was on fire, the defense was an impenetrable brick wall to earn the clean sheet! Hank Harroll commanded the middle at center back, while Jayden Livingston was tremendous in the sweeper position. Goalie Carter Milton was flawless between the posts, tracking down every through ball and preserving the shutout. To cap off his incredible night, Tobey Harroll used his impressive speed to get a goal of his own late in the second half, blasting a shot into the top right corner! It was a fantastic all-around performance and a well-deserved win for the Wolverines. Great work, team!
