WRV Powers past LCA to win third straight On Tuesday evening, the Wolverines traveled to Bloomington to take on sectinal foe Lighthouse Chrisitan Academy. WRV got off to a hot start leading 14-5 after the first period. Brenden Carmichael (9 points) and Trey Greenlee (16 points) lead the way early with an early three and some plays at the rim against LCA's 2-3 zone. The Lions wouldn't go away easy however. An even 10-10 frame in the second closed the halftime lead for WRV to 24-15. In the second half, John Powers gave the Wolverines a much needed boost connecting on 3 of 4 from outside and finished 7 for 9 from the floor with a season high 20 points. With the big second half by Powers and the crafty ball handling from Sophomore RJ Greenlee, WRV was able to stretch their lead out to 15 late in the 4th quarter in which they coasted to a 53-36 victory.
